This is a family oriented film festival which means no R-rated material, no horror or gratuitous violence. The festival is open to both Professional and Student filmmakers, both Domestic and International. All entries will be judged by a panel of well-qualified individuals with experience in various fields of the entertainment industry. During the festival, there will be public screenings of notable entries and award-winners. Arts for the Community, Inc (501c3) is the founder and will present the festival in cooperation with First Christian Films, the Lakeside Inn and VisitMountDora.com.

Submissions are currently closed. 

We are excited to see your entry into the inaugural Mount Dora Family Film Festival.

Below is a link to the official submission form, which will provide details how and where to send your submission.

 

There are four entry deadlines for both Professionals and Students:

Early Bird - February 15th - $50 ($40 student)

Regular - March 25th - $60 ($50 student)

Extended - April 20th - $70 ($55 student)

WAB Extended - May 12th - $80 ($60 student).

Website Extended - May 31st - $80 ($60 student).

OPEN TO ALL- FEATURES

 

COMEDY FEATURE - Any comedy work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

ACTION FEATURE - Any Action work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

DRAMA FEATURE - Any Drama work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

FAITH THEMED FEATURE - Any Faith (or Christian) themed work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

NARRATIVE FEATURE-OTHER - All other works of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below and which do not fit any of the specific categories above.

 

ANIMATED FEATURE - Any animated narrative work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE - Any non-fiction film with a running time of at least 45 minutes; NOT including entirely scripted or improvised fictionalizations of actual produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

OPEN TO ALL- SHORT FILMS

 

FAITH THEMED SHORT - Any narrative film with a predominate theme of Faith or Christian message with a running time of 44 minutes or less produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

ALL OTHER NARRATIVE SHORT - Any narrative film with a running time of 44 minutes or less produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

ANIMATED SHORT - Any animated narrative film with a running time of 44 minutes or less produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

DOCUMENTARY SHORT - Any documentary film with a running time of 44 minutes or less produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

OPEN TO ALL- FLORIDA FILMS

 

MADE IN FLORIDA NARRATIVE FEATURE - Any narrative work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes produced within the general submission guidelines below and either made entirely in Florida or the majority of cast and crew from Florida.

 

MADE IN FLORIDA NARRATIVE SHORT - Any narrative work of fiction with a running time of 44 minutes or less produced within the general submission guidelines below and either made entirely in Florida or the majority of cast and crew from Florida.

 

MADE IN FLORIDA DOCUMENTARY FEATURE - Any non-fiction film with a running time of at least 45 minutes; NOT including entirely scripted or improvised fictionalizations of actual events produced within the general submission guidelines below and either made entirely in Florida or the majority of cast and crew from Florida.

 

MADE IN FLORIDA DOCUMENTARY SHORT - Any documentary film with a running time of 44 minutes or less produced within the general submission guidelines below and either made entirely in Florida or the majority of cast and crew from Florida.

 

OPEN TO ALL-MUSIC VIDEOS

 

FAITH-THEMED MUSIC VIDEO - Any music video with a predominately faith or Christian themed message and produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

FAMILY-THEMED MUSIC VIDEO - All other music videos produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

STUDENT FILM CATEGORIES

 

STUDENT NARRATIVE FEATURE - Any narrative work of fiction with a running time of at least 45 minutes from filmmakers 18 years of age and younger produced within the general submission guidelines below.

 

STUDENT DOCUMENTARY FEATURE - Any non-fiction film with a running time of at least 45 minutes; NOT including entirely scripted or improvised fictionalizations of actual events from filmmakers 18 years of age and younger produced within the general submission guidelines below.

General Submission Guidelines

TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND ENTRANT RELEASE

 

By clicking on the link below and my submission herein to the Mount Dora Family Film Festival,

I, the submitter of this entry, acknowledge and agree as follows:

 

I have read, understood, and complied with all eligibility requirements.

 

All the statements made with my entry are true.

 

In consideration for the opportunity to be selected into the Mount Dora Family Film Festival, I release and discharge the Mount Dora Family Film Festival, its employees, agents, judges, contractors, volunteers, licensees, successors and assigns from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions related to misappropriation or infringement of copyright or violation of any other right arising out of or relating to my submission herein.

 

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Mount Dora Family Film Festival, its employees, agents, judges, contractors, volunteers, licensees, successors and assigns from any claims that arise as a result of this submission or screening of my film (should it be selected) as well as from damage to or loss of any submitted materials en route to or held at the festival.

 

I have all rights necessary and am duly authorized to submit this film to the Festival.

 

This film is not subject to any claims or litigation and is not threatened by any claims or litigation.

 

I understand, as the authorized representative, any prizes will be awarded to the director(s) of the winning films. I understand and agree that all decisions of the festival judges will be final and not subject to inquiry or appeal.
